I don't know if this applies to powerpc or not, but both sleep-to-disk
mechanisms in the kernel are being merged at this moment (swsusp and
pmdisk, if I am not mistaken).
I hope that this applies to PPC. I think that I saw BenH asking about the
status of the merge on the Linux Kernel Mailing List.
