Rhythmbox skipping.

I'm trying to play mp3s from a SMB mount over 802.11b (my Powerbook's 
internal Airport card).

For some reason, they skip terribly under Rhythmbox, but sound fine 
under XMMS or JuK. Unfortunately, I really prefer the interface of 
Rhythmbox to either of the other two, and would prefer to use that.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can improve Rhythmbox's performance 
so that I can use it without the audio dropping out?
