running at half the frequency, for instance. :)
a guy on linuxppc-dev found out how to run with high freq:
boot into openfirmware and issue the following commands:

dev /cpus/PowerPC,G4@0
set-dfs-high
mac-boot

then boot normally into linux. you have to do that _every_ time you turn
on the machine, though. better wait for benh to implement the
aforementioned steps in the kernel. :)


also the sound is mute since the device is recognized as AWACS which it
is not. you can persuade snd-powermac to use it as SNAPPER which seems
to work. just comment out the device_is_compatible clause in
sound/ppc/pmac.c:926.


these are the two issues i have discovered so far, although i am only
the person to set the powerbook up, not the person to use it. :)
