iBook2 radeon/X drm-trunk issues..

At the risk of imposing on Michael Daenzer, who seems to be the poor soul
who is stuck supporting the packages he graciously made from the DRI
trunk... I've got a problem trying to use them.

I had X working fine under debian testing (no DRI) in my new iBook (radeon
M7). i then upgraded to unstable, and grabbed Michael's DRI packages and
installed them... now X segfaults on startup. It appears(?) to be related
to the modules somehow(?) and/or PCI probing?.... any suggestions?

I'll compile from source if i have to, but i figured i'd try and do it the
"debian way" at least once. just to see what all the fuss is about. ;)
quick search of the archives didn't seem to reveal anything too useful
other then someone else having problems with modules. config has both DRI
and UseFBDev defined, but it doesn't appear it gets that far..

(debian kernel 2.4.22 + benh patch)

TIA,
