Re: what' up with pmud?

Hi,
I had some problems with pmud as well, but i noticed that /dev/pmu was missing. After creating it with 'mknod /dev/pmu c 10 154' as su, it worked again. Weird that it was missing though..
Cheers,
Laurens

With the current sid pmud and benh stable kernel, pmud seems to miss
some event. Looking at /var/log/daemon.log, I can see it working well
when going to sleep with 'apm -s' (I see the sleep and wakeup events).
But when I go to sleep by closing the lid, I see nothing at all.

I believe pmud miss the 'sleep' and 'wakeup' events when the sleep is
triggered by closing the lid.

Do you see the same thing happening?

I've seen something simlar, but I use pbbuttonsd. If I close
the lid nothing happens, but if I first go once to sleep with the
power button and wake up with the keyboard, then closing the lid
and opening it work properly. Maybe thge situation has changed, because I've got the habit of putting the machine to sleep by pressing the powre button before
closing the lid just in case.
