Re: Configuring XFree86 on PowerBook G3 Lombard (Bronze)

Geert:

But what's the relationship between the two? (During start-up, the kernel reports that it has found the ATI 3D Rage LT Pro so I've been looking for information related to the "3D Rage Pro" specifically - when I should have been looking for information related to "Mach64" I suppose.)

ATI Mach64 is the name of all 64-bit graphics accelerators made by ATI. This
includes the following families:
- Mach64 GX (first version, external clockchip and RAMDAC, PCI and non-PCI)
  - Mach64 CT (integrated all-in-one solution)
  - Mach64 VT (video extensions)
  - Mach64 GT (3D RAGE)

In personal conversations with technical people, I call myself a hacker. But when I'm talking to journalists I just say "programmer" or something like that.
