So where did it go? xserver-xfree86 is supposed to contain
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/linux/libfbdevhw.a, maybe
apt-get --reinstall install xserver-xfree86
helps?

The r128 driver doesn't work without it on a non-PC card.
