Thanks for the info on xset David.. I'll give it a try.. Jule - the problem you mention is something that bothers me too.. before you know it. you're typing somewhere else in the document! I wonder if there's some option to disable the trackpad if an external mouse is detected... I almost always use an external mouse and would be glad if I there was such an option.. Thanks, nirmal
