Just my two cents here, I use the apple key and caps lock as my right and middle buttons respectively. Many people ask why I do this, and the answer is two fold: 1) The reason I run a mac with linux rather than x86 is because I want a nice looking machine. I don't want to ruin the asthetic getting a poor looking mouse just to have extra buttons. 2) I am right handed, and when my right hand is on the mouse, I want keys I can reach easily and comfortably with the left. I don't use the apple or caps lock keys, so why not use them as mouse buttons. Interestingly, I have gotten to like this so much, I tend to really miss it when I am using a machine that *DOES* have three buttons.
