Look at http://users.linpro.no/janl/tibook.html.  Mine started out as a 
Yellow Dog machine but I think you will find all you need in suficient 
detail:

- Compile a new kernel
- Now airport just works
- Compile X from CVS to get X to work.

There is no delete key.  Macintosh does not use alt-ctrl-del.  On my 
page i show a way to assign Delete to Option-Backspace in X, in some X 
applications you need a Delete key.

"iwconfig2 configures the wireless things like encryption, ESSID if you 
want that locked etc.
