Just tried and that's not enough. With no X session running (ie. after a
fresh reboot with gdm disabled) I close the lid and when I reopen it I
get a few colored points on the console. Switching to another console
remove this points. But starting X, get me some strange effects like
sometimes the screen is normal and suddenly it starts shaking a bit
horizontally. I have no idea what I have missed, I run 2.4.21-pre3-ben0
and I have disabled DRI (by removing the kernel modules and the load
option). I have tried with and without UseFBDev option.
