[ANNOUNCE] Yaboot 1.3.11 released

Yaboot 1.3.11 is now available.

This release adds support for the new PowerMac G5 machines, and the
aluminum PowerBooks. Support in ofpath has been added for the SATA
controller found in the G5, also add-on IDE controllers should now be
properly supported.

There are no other changes in this release.

** IMPORTANT NOTE to GNU/Linux distributors:
If you wish for your distribution to be install-able on new PowerMac G5
and Aluminum PowerBook models you MUST upgrade your yaboot packages in
your currently shipping stable distro to 1.3.11, older versions of yaboot
will result in an UN-bootable system!

Yaboot 1.x is in strict maintenance mode, only egregious bug-fixes and
very minor changes to support new hardware will be made. All
development efforts are being directed at completing prom-libc
(http://penguinppc.org/projects/prom-libc/) which will be required by
the 100% rewrite of yaboot to become version 2.0. Development help is
needed and welcome, if you want to help contact me in private mail.

Yaboot 1.3.11 is as always available from:
http://penguinppc.org/projects/yaboot/
and

Official version of the yaboot-howto and other yaboot related
documentation: http://penguinppc.org/projects/yaboot/doc/
and http://www.alaska.net/~erbenson/yaboot/doc/

As always yaboot releases are signed with GnuPG, it is highly
recommended you verify this signature (detached ascii .sig file)
(this message is also signed with the same key (keyid 0x2C447AFC)).
