tv out on powerbook with radeon 9k?

hi,

searching the web and talking to people rt and irc I get lots of
contradicting info ranging from "it should just work" via "you
need to reboot to osx and back" to "no way mate", for now I find
myself in the no-way department but I'd really love to get this
working (Xfree dualhead would be great, but framebuffer would
be enough for now)

can someone here clear this matter up for me ?
