I problem is namely Step 2 of the debian developer
process:  Identity Verification.  I don't like having
to share photo-ids and my real id information, at all,
ever.  While the debian membership instructions
suggest that you can block out relevant sections of
your id for privacy reasons, they is still a demand
for a "real" identity.

I sort of understand the rationale for this
requirement, but I respectfully disagree with it as
much as I disagree with applying debian licenseing
requirements to documentation as well as software
source code.  I suppose, though, if I was really
stubborn/confident I would just write my debian
specifc app, let it be judged and used on its merits
alone and see if its adopted.  

Ah well, I've been thinking for some time now about
making the commitment to join debian despite my 
reservations.  Just got to get around to it, I guess.
