Indeed... that version does not work at all here... as soon as I use the
2003.07.25 driver switching to the console and back kills X telling me
(EE) RADEON(0): Cannot read V_BIOS (5)
Symbol RADEONResetVideo from module
/usr/X11R6/lib/modules-dri-trunk/drivers/radeon_drv.o is unresolved!
I am using the XF4.3 sid snapshot from 24.07, from branden ...
Well... and if I use the older version, from May it does not crash but
as the newer version shows a distorted screen on the external display...
