RE: superdrive problem burning DVD's?

The machine is running sid.

I only tried burning a mountable backup, not a movie DVD.

I know cdrecord really likes dummy burns before the actual burn, and they are (underneath, somewhere) the same program.

SOmething like...

dvdrecord dev=/dev/cdroms/cdrom0:0,0,0 speed=2 -dummy -dao

If that works, (note the dummy option), please tell me, because I did not take careful enough notes after I was done.

I have the same tibook, but can't burn dvd, using cdrecord-ProDVD or
cdrecord, because i have woody, and they need libc6 3.0

do you have woody? or sarge?

if you have woody, what is the comand line you use?
