reloading firewire modules after suspend causes trouble
hi!
i just installed the latest kernel (benh8) with the new suspend
patch..
however there is a issue which already existed with the older
patch. as soon as i suspended my ibook once, and then try unload
and reload sbp2, ohci1394 and ieee1394 i get a weird black trashing
area with some console font text, in the top of my x desktop..
in the terminal where i tried to unload and reload i get this:
rmmod: module sbp2 is not loaded
./reloadFirewire: line 3: 722 Bus error rmmod ohci1394
ieee1394: Device or resource busy
/lib/modules/2.4.20-ben8/kernel/drivers/ieee1394/sbp2.o: init_module: No
such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters,
including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.20-ben8/kernel/drivers/ieee1394/sbp2.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.20-ben8/kernel/drivers/ieee1394/sbp2.o failed
/lib/modules/2.4.20-ben8/kernel/drivers/ieee1394/sbp2.o: insmod sbp2
failed
any idea what could be the reason and/or how to fix it?
thanks alot!
ciao!
