I was asked which modem I was referring to. The modem identifies as:

> ati1: APPLE VERSION 0010DCP, 6/10/2001
> ati3: V2.400F5-V90_2M_DLS
> ati6: RCV56DPF-PLL L8571A Rev 43.06/43.06
To check your modem, just open Minicom and enter ATI1I3I6.

It is inside an iBook2 500MHz. It is the serial modem.
(New iBooks have got USB modems.)


dmesg says:
