RE: where is the tilde ~ on my TiBook?



You did not read the instructions well enough :(

It says, on the christophe/titanium page, that you need to 

apt-get install libncurses5-dev

before running make menuconfig



If, in total desperation, you still need a tilde, try this...

perl -e 'print ":ab tilde", chr(126)' >> ~/.vimrc

Then you can use vim (a vi clone, the default vi clone for debian) and type
"tilde" each time you want one.
