Thanks very much for the help. I don't know how I missed it. The install doc does mention BootX. I had to search on the CD to find linux.bin. The doc explains only how to download it. Once I found it, I got booted just fine.

Make Floppies has never worked.

The manual does explain how to figure out what quik wants and manually
set it, but if BootX works and you don't mind it that's easier.
