Newbie question about X and powerbooks
Hi.
After some playing around I got my powerbook (G4 500) to boot into
linux.
I'm using the video=ofonly option, and X doesn't seem to work, which I
assume is normal (i.e. some kind of text-only driver has been
specified). If I don't have a video=something option, or if I use
video=aty128fb or video=atyfb the screen goes white and the display says
"opening display /pci@f0000000/ATY,RageM3p12Parent@IO/ATY,RageM3p12B_"
It seems to keep loading (I can hear the disk whirring), but the screen
seems to get stuck on this.
Any idea what is wrong?
Hani
