Both look good to me. So it seems like "just" the monitor can't display
what it's supposed to.
As I tried to help you on IRC without much luck, the only thing left for
me to suggest is to only use
Modes "current"
in Subsection "Display", which should have the server use the current
mode from console, which should obviously work.
