Mozilla downloads disappear upon completion

I've tried to download a couple of files via http from Mozilla, one of them 
being the AbiWord gnome deb from http://www.abisource.com/download/

The web server identifies my machine as a PowerPC linux host and offers me 
PowerPC debs.

The download appears to go to 100% but then no file is left in the directory 
where I saved it.

I wasn't sure whether this was just some flakiness with AbiWord's webserver so I 
tried a different download and the same thing happened.

This is mozilla 0.9.7-2 from sid.
