Re: configuring XFree86 4.1.0

OK, got the time right. I recognized it just as i got my own mail via the list back.

I'm using a debian GNU/Linux on my powerbook with the xserver-xfree86 Debian Package. But the configuration should (nealy) be the same for the xserver ver. 4.1.0 on whatver distribution.

Thanx,
Daniel

Hi Daniel

Your date is way off - I make it as 1970????
Please check your date and time fields.
Check your battery backed up NVRAM too.

Kind Regards

I take it you run one of the Linux packages
yellowdog ?
mkLinux ?
Mac OS X?

Hello together,

I have a PowerBook G4 and can't get my XFree86 to work. I was trying a
few days now to get my XFree86 4.1.0 to work, but i can only get it to
work with 8bit color over the framebuffer device. It would be great if
anyone of you could send me a working (powerbook g4) config file for
XFree86 or just point me to the appropriate documentation (for the
framebuffer device).

got a 2.4.16 - Kernel from the deb-package.

Thanks,

Daniel
