Ok I'll use these 4 keys for a test :
<A><B><C><D>

With the left Shift I'll see on the screen:
    'ABCD' (as with every Shift key)

with the right Shift key depressed I receive :
    'bcd'
So the <A> is eaten, and the 3 other keys are not modified by the right
Shift key.
