I booted the http://www.phy.olemiss.edu/debian-cd/woody-powerpc-1.iso
30-Aug-2002 01:44 186M
It booted fine on my G4 'Snakebite'. However the kernel did
not have a driver for my SCSI card. I was told that I could
download and install the driver via the net after I had the
CD booted. I have not tried this yet. Otherwise everything
else seemed fine.
Note this CD is a minimal CD designed for installing via the
network. i.e. It only contains enough for a basic Debian
setup. It assumes that you will download most applications
through the network. That's OK for me since I have a good
network connection. If you use a modem dialup, it could be
a bit of a pain.
