I've seen such a problem at the console also, but I'm not certain what keys were pressed when it started. If I swich from X to a VC, an endless series of "[B"s immediately starts piling up on the VC's login prompt at the key-repeat rate. If I then switch back to X, it stops. "[B" is issued when the downarrow key is pressed, but I'm not conscious of having used that key prior to switching (though it's possible.) kernel 2.4.18-newpmac+freeswan, ibook2 600, internal QWERTY. -- Devin \ aqua(at)devin.com, 1024D/E9ABFCD2; http://www.devin.com Carraway \ IRC: Requiem GCS/CC/L s-:--- !a !tv C++++$ ULB+++$ O+@ P L+++
