ATI driver difficulties

Hello,

now I tried to use the ATI driver, but it has unresolved symbols too. I
can't understand why the components shipped within a distribution don't
understand each other ... or maybe I shouldn't have allowed the security
update downloads?

Symbol fbdevHWGetLineLength from module /.../r128_drv.o is unresolved!

Fatal server error:
Caught signal 11. Server aborting

Any suggestions?
