re: problem with package locales on unstable

This problem installing locales-2.2.5-12 is due to
a failure in the last build of glibc on powerpc. The
origin of that problem was that a flaw in the glibc
debian build scripts was being tickled by the new stricter
fileutils in unstable. Other arches happened not to have the
unstable version of fileutils installed on their build machines
when glibc 2.2.5-12 got built and escaped the problem this
time around...

Until this fix gets merged into the next glibc 2.2.5 build or someone
installs the woody fileutils on voltaire and rebuilds glibc 2.2.5-12
you will have to use the custom glibc build that the openoffice.org
maintainer has. These packages can be found on...

http://openoffice.vpn-junkies.de/openoffice/pool/main/libc6/

as glibc 2.2.5-12.1. You will want the libc6-dev, libc6, glibc-doc,
locales and nscd packages for that revision and should just
manually install them with 'dkpkg -i'.
