while playing with my IBM box, I finally reached this goal:
Distributon : Debian for PPC 3.0
Kernel : 2.4.18
+ caro-min-2.4-bk011111.diff.gz
+ ibm_e15fb.diff.gz ( w/ little editing )
from http://www.amberdata.demon.co.uk/carolina/
Yes ! I'm running a 1024x748 8bit display on the native E15 adapter.
Don't know if this is a true goal or I'm just reinventing the wheel,
but it looks like it hasn't been done yet.
