woody boot-floppies

Hi!

I'm trying to install woody onto a G4 Cube using Ethan's current
preferred method (drop the relevant files on the root of the relevant
volume, craft a yaboot.conf, reboot into OF, etc) using the current
version of boot-floppies. Here is the entirety of my yaboot.conf:

image=linux
label=install
initrd=root.bin
initrd-size=8192
append="video=ofonly"

The command I'm using from OF to boot is

boot hd:,yaboot

and then I type 'install' at the yaboot prompt. I get a 'Loading
ramdisk' message (with something that follows immediately afterwards
too quickly to read), the screen blanks, and then it comes back with a
white OF screen with these words:

... ok
copying OF device tree...done
Calling quiesce ...

DO-QUIESCE finishedbooting...

and hangs.

Here are the files that I've downloaded onto the root of the MacOS
partition from
ftp://mirrors.kernel.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-powerpc/current/powermac:

drivers.tgz
linux
rescue.bin
root.bin
yaboot

I know I'm doing something really simple and wrong here, but what?
I've scanned the archives, and they have not brought me the joy for
which I was hoping.

Thanks as always for the help,
Forrest Norvell
