The ethernet_info struct doesn't have 'id'. Anyhow, why is there what
looks like a special hack for PPCs? On anything I can remember, the
ethernet device shows up in 'lspci'. I _think_ this even applies to the
boxes with lots of pci-pci bridges. But I haven't tried 2.2 in a
while..
