Re: gpm & X settings for titanium
Since the iBook has basically the same video hardware, this should work on it,
right? I downloaded the kernel module source from dri.sourceforge.net and
built it; installed it, and I'm using the XF86Config-4 that was
referenced earlier in this thread. However I'm not getting DRI
acceleration--here are some warnings I got from X:
(WW) The directory "/usr/share/fonts/truetype" does not exist.
(WW) R128(0): Video BIOS not detected in PCI space!
(WW) R128(0): Attempting to read Video BIOS from legacy ISA space!
(WW) R128(0): Video BIOS not found!
(WW) R128(0): Static buffer allocation failed -- need at least 10368 kB video memory
(WW) R128(0): Option "DPMS" is not used
I also tried building the module out of the Debain sources, with the same result.
Since I don't see any reason why this shouldn't work, I'm attaching the full output
of startx, as well as the XF86Config-4, in hopes that someone here can make sense
of it
