one option you have for getting a parallel port I would htink is a keyspan
parallel prionter adapter (see www.keyspan.com) personally I have never tried
these as I have no need for a parallel port, however I do use the keyspan
serial adapter on my powerbook so I can use my mobile phone for data
communication and such.

I dont know if the parallel adapter is supported though, Hugh Blemmings
(hugh@misc.nu) developed the serial adapter drivers. 

Using such a thing mean you just need USB. It would be interesting to see
someone could get the zip drives working on a setup like this.
