well to start read the bug ;-)

basically i think the following should happen:

deep six the whole create boot-floppy thing for powermac, its
worthless.

if newworld check for the existence of /etc/yaboot.conf, if it exists
do nothing, if not run yabootconfig (if available).  yabootconfig will
do all necessary prompting.  

if oldworld tell user they must fix /etc/quik.conf (if it exists) to
point at the new kernel and that pointing at a symlink won't work.  if
quik.conf does not exist ask to generate one like it does now, only
make one that works (ie doesn't point image= at symlinks).  quikconfig
is broken.  

there is no need to rerun quik or ybin after kernel installs (ybin
need only be run if /etc/yaboot.conf changes, not the kernel).
