Boy, it all started when...I wanted to get Zope working with PoPy, which I
believe required a later version of postgresql than 6.5.x. But I couldn't
apt-get a decent postgresql version, and I had successfully built 7.0.3 with
some serious help from the maintainer Oliver Elphick on potato-m68k, so I
figured I wouldn't have too much trouble. Every time I tried one thing, it
ended up that I needed some other thing. So, I went hunting around and
asking questions...I'm just sort of blindly going about this whole process,
with brute force. I haven't been too successful, but that's really my fault
:-) I need to learn more about this whole thing much more
thoroughly...Anyway, I'm only half done, because I can't get PGSQL to
install completely because automatic db "mover" progam won't, and I'm not
having too much success doing it manually. This doesn't make sense either,
since I don't have anything in the db to move. Oh well. I'll keep plugging
away. I do enjoy the challenge of doing this. It's good motivation to really
learn what's going on. Till next time!

Thanks

Russell
