X11 or Diseable onboard Cirrus chip in Motorola Powerstack

Hi all,

does anybody know how to disable the internal CLGD5434 in a 
Motorola Powerstack 604? I'd love to run X on this machine but 
kernels below 2.4 don't support the CL and kernel 2.4 has broken support for
the NCR-810 SCSI.

Has anybody gotten X to work on a Powerstack?
Does anybody have any doc on the firmware? I looked at Motorola, there are 
lots of Processor specs but nothing about the firware (pcbug-diag)
