Open PowerPC Bugs List

I spent a couple of hours a couple of weeks ago building a Perl
script to extract some information about open PowerPC-related bugs
from Debian's database and give me some text reports. Since then,
I spent a bit more time setting it up to generate a nice HTML
file. That HTML file is available from my Web site, at
<http://www.eskimo.com/~c/debian/bugs.html>.

At the moment, the script tracks bugs that have the string
``PowerPC'', ``PPC'' or lowercase variants, as well as any bugs
filed by me, and a few others I'm interested in following (like
one for squishdot and one for zope-worldaccess). I'm currently
generating the list and uploading it by hand, although I may set
up a cron job to build the list once a week and upload it.

(If you're wondering, I can't make the script run as a CGI because
the data file is (at the moment) 4.2 MB. Since I have a total of
10 MB of space on that account, some of which is used for other
purposes, that's not remotely practical. I also seriously doubt
that my ISP would be at all happy about having that much data
downloaded frequently). The script is also fairly slow because of
the time it takes to build the hash table before it can do any
real work. (Once the table is initialized it takes very little
time to generate the reports.)

If you want your PowerPC-related bugs to show up in the list, be
sure to mention that they're PowerPC-related in the Subject lines
of your bug reports!
