damn, even 2.4.0 wont boot

All

well I get the exact same error with 2.4.0-test13-pre3 as I had with 2.2.18

yaboot says Elf32 kernel loaded.... or something and then nothing happens at
all, no disk activity or anything.

I am thinking I must have done somet6hing wwrong but cant think what.

the images look like this

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2571668 Dec 28 01:56 /boot/vmlinux-2.2.17
-rwx--x--x 1 root root 1085198 Dec 29 23:50 /boot/vmlinux-2.2.18
-rwx--x--x 1 root root 1076165 Dec 30 01:07 /boot/vmlinux-2.4.0-test13-pre3

/boot/vmlinux-2.2.17: ELF 32-bit MSB executable, PowerPC or cisco
4500, version 1, statically linked, not stripped
/boot/vmlinux-2.2.18: ELF 32-bit MSB executable, PowerPC or cisco
4500, version 1, statically linked, not stripped
/boot/vmlinux-2.4.0-test13-pre3: ELF 32-bit MSB executable, PowerPC or cisco
4500, version 1, statically linked, not stripped

the debian kernel is much larger than the two I made, I thought maybe it
must be an uncompressed (vmlinux not vmlinuz) but according to file these
are the same. I am going to try the vmlinux now to see if it works anyway.

	See You
