I have released ybin 0.18, it can be downloaded from http://www.alaska.net/~erbenson/ybin/ or from http://linuxppc.org/usr/ybin/ (depending on your local DNS server) * Added ofpath utility, this is a rewrite of the show_of_path.sh utility written by Olaf Hering. Ofpath works with /bin/ash and on stripped down systems such as the Debian boot floppies. * ybin will automatically use the ofpath utility to find the OpenFirmware path to the bootstrap partition when `ofboot=' is not defined in /etc/yaboot.conf. you can still use that variable if you wish, or if ofpath for some reason does not work on your system. unlike 0.17 you can now set macos= and macosx= to the unix device node, ie macos=/dev/hda12 and macosx=/dev/hda13. when you do this ybin will use ofpath to convert the unix device path to the OpenFirmware device path. You can still use OpenFirmware device paths for these options if you wish, or if ofpath does not work on your system. ybin is smart enough to only attempt a conversion when the unix node is specified. enjoy. -- Ethan Benson http://www.alaska.net/~erbenson/
