Powerbook G3 (Wallstreet) and CPU Speed

I'd like to be more verbose, but in a nutshell, the situation is this:

On boot, my system seems to think it's a PPC 750/250MHz. In reality, and 
as reported by Apple System Profiler under MacOS, it is only 233MHz.
