I had gotten the kernel source from 2.1.125 and from then on I only applied the
patches. I also applied the macX mouse patches and the samba semaphore patches
(those that broke 2.2.2). Now this kernel is the most stable I ever had. It has
not hard crashed on me yet (well only once, but that was on a time that I
pushed the machine to a cpu load of 12 and a filled swap!).
