RS232 & COM1

Hi all,

I would like to connect my RS232 output (from my 2303 board) to my linux 
ix86 com1. Actualy I'm using tip (tip - connect to remote system) on a 
solaris machine .

Do somebody use something similar to connect an embedded board to an com1 
input ?
