Well, you have some leftovers.  There should not BE a
/usr/lib/libstdc++.so!  Do you have libstdc++2.8-dev installed?  If so,
remove it.  Do you have libstdc++2.9-dev installed?  If not, install
it. Does any package (dpkg -S /usr/lib/libstdc++.so) claim that file?
