Hi Mich & all others,
THX for your interest.

Rather sure, but I can't test it now because I switched my PBG4 12" HD
from hdc -> hda ;) (only with 2.4.21-rc*-ben0 possible). So I can't
use that 2.4.20-ben*. IIRC there was _normal_ console speed by default.

It gives:

mode "1024x768-60"
    # D: 65.003 MHz, H: 48.365 kHz, V: 60.006 Hz
    geometry 1024 768 1024 768 8
    timings 15384 160 24 29 3 136 6
    rgba 8/0,8/0,8/0,0/0
endmode

Frame buffer device information:
    Name : nVidia GeForce4-?
    Address : 0x94000000
    Size : 33554432
    Type : PACKED PIXELS
    Visual : PSEUDOCOLOR
    XPanStep : 1
    YPanStep : 1
    YWrapStep : 0
    LineLength : 1024
    MMIO Address: 0x91000000
    MMIO Size : 16777216
    Accelerator : nVidia RIVA TNT

But as I mentioned, console slows down during boot at that moment,
when the penguin disappears (which is awesome from an esoteric point
of view ;)) )

THX again and a nice evening
