If the result is the same text string, I see no problem changing this
to use the perl string instead.

Actually, I added code to recieve and process this information.  It is
not used yet, but the code is there.

So your intention is to not report the "last used" time for packages
without files in them, and in addition, fix the handling of shared
libraries?

I agree.  I do not expect any problems with adding a forward once the
generic mail address is in place.

Martin Michlmayr contacted me regarding popcon, trying to find out if
it should be orphaned or not.  He is now more up to date with the
current status.  He said he wanted to help me getting a more generic
mail address.  I'll post a summary of the discussion me and Avery
already had with the Debian sysadmins when I find time to do that.

Yeah, I am not sure how to best do this.
