I think the TC has made it clear we're committed to usrmerge at this
point, and I think that one of the drivers behind usrmerge is that we
gain more from having both /bin/python and /usr/bin/python work than we
lose by having two paths.
I understand people disagree,
but I think we should fall in behind the TC decision and accept we've
decided that in this instance we value aliasing.
