That might even work for the repository.  The commit info varies per upload,
it doesn't make sense to modify debian/copyright at every upload, better
have that in the ONE place you must modify anyway.

Most projects only pull/checkout from a fairly static release branch, so
just the commit info in changelog would be enough.
