Okay, thanks.  I've now pushed a change to build the generated files as
part of the build process, as well as a few other cleanups to the build
dependencies.

I'm happy to see those files converted to something else, but don't have
the time at the moment to do it myself.  (I think in the long run we may
want to move everything to DocBook and Publican.)
