Policy proposals awaiting review
The following Policy bugs have a proposed patch that's waiting for review
and seconds.
#104373 Allow subdirectories under /usr/lib/cgi-bin (1 second)
#445203 Log files: /etc/logrotate.d/<package> preferred (1 second)
#475101 obsolete linuxthreads requirement (1 second)
#477240 clarify status of XSI extensions for kill and trap (1 second)
#509933 versioning SONAMEs of shared libraries (1 second)
#587279 clarify main to non-free dependency restrictions (0 seconds)
The following Policy bugs have close-to-final wording but ongoing
discussion that needs to be resolved. Comments would be greatly
appreciated.
#459868 Definition of Maintainer: when using a mailing list
Need to resolve whether it's appropriate to say that an unmaintained
package "should" be orphaned.
#556015 Clarify requirements for copyright file
Need to decide whether to allow arch: any -> arch: all doc symlinks
with corresponding loss of changelog information from binary NMUs.
